How does Armoire work?

+ How do I get my clothes?

After you fill out your style profile, we'll recommend ten to fifteen items of clothes to rent. If you aren't 100% happy with the items, swap out with ones that are more your style. We'll ship the final four, which you can return anytime in a prepaid shipping bag. We'll send you a new case as soon as we get notification that you have put your current case in the mail. Feel free to cancel any time.

+ What types of clothes will I receive?

From blouses to jumpsuits, dresses to denim, we have you covered. We carry a variety of clothes to keep up with your busy and ever-changing schedule. The items in our inventory are hand selected from the top designers you recognize, as well as the independent designers we love. All our clothes are completely clean and feel like new.

+ How many items will I receive?

There are four items in each case.


Submit your feedback on your current items so that we can create a new virtual closet for you. After you've selected your new items to rent, send back your current items in the prepaid return bag, and we'll ship your new case for you to enjoy.

+ How long can I keep my 4 items?

As long as you like! As long as you’re a subscribed customer, you can keep them for as long as you want.


Yes! We're always excited to hear that you love an item as much as we do. To purchase an item, just go to your account page at and click the "Buy Now" button below the one(s) you want. Please note: All purchases are final and discounts, if any, are subject to change in amount and availability.

+ How do I know the clothes will fit my body?

Based on the information you provide on your Style Profile, our stylist selects a closet of items for you that will work for your body/preferences. As you rent more items and give feedback, the automated component of the curation process will select like brands, sizes and silhouettes that will work best for you! All selections will then be reviewed and tweaked by a stylist and sent to you to choose your favorites.

+ What sizes do you carry?

We currently stock sizes 0R – 14R. While we realize this falls far short of serving all women, we are actively looking for partnerships that allow us to fit a diverse range of body types. If you are willing to share the brands you love, email us at, and we'll do our very best to expand our collection as soon as possible. We'd love to hear from you.

Note: Even if you usually wear petites, we're often able to successfully dress petite women with our size range. We also have a number of customers who use Armoire through month 7 of pregnancy.


Regular wear and tear is included in your monthly subscription. Irreplaceable damage, lost items, and theft aren't included. In those cases, you'll be charged 80% of the retail price.


+ Where are my billing options? How does an Armoire membership work?

After you select the items in your first virtual closet, you can go into your 'Account' page and select subscribe to add your payment information. Once your billing information is submitted, we can ship your first case. Service will auto-renew unless you cancel before your next box ships. You can cancel your month to month subscription at any time.

+ Can I really cancel at any time?

Indeed! There are no hidden contracts or tricks. If you need to stop your membership at any time, sign into your account and elect to cancel your membership so you will not be charged for the next month. As long as we receive your rented items back during your rental period, you will not be charged. Please note, while pre-paid subscriptions are non-refundable, we do allow members to pause and return later to their remaining pre-paid months.

+ If I have a gift membership, will I be charged during my gift period?

No, you will not b e charged during the time period of your gift, which begins when your first package ships and ends on the allotted time period after (1, 3 or 6 months depending on gift). When you checkout, you will still be prompted to enter your credit card so that it is on file in case you choose to purchase any items.

+ What happens after my gift membership ends?

If you do not cancel your membership before the end of your gift period (noted in your account) and return all your clothes, you will automatically be charged for your membership.

The little things

+ Will the dresses need to be pressed upon arrival?

We do our best to ensure your clothes arrive wrinkle-free. Each piece is steamed and pressed before packaging. If you receive an item with slight creases, please try steaming the garment on low heat or contact us for advice.

+ Do you guarantee shipping?

While in most instances, it takes 2-3 business days for our items to ship, we cannot guarantee that your items will ship to you on a certain date.

+ Why do you use USPS?

Believe it or not, the USPS is faster and less expensive than UPS and FedEx for small packages. While this method has its limitations (no package redirects, for example), it enables us to get you your packages faster and more economically than all other alternatives.

+ Do you ship internationally?

No, at this time we only ship within the US.

+ Do I need to pay for shipping?

No, the shipping to you and return to us is paid for by Armoire.

+ Do you ship over the weekend?

Our team is in the office Monday - Friday making sure you have everything you need. As a small but mighty team, we empower our employees to spend the weekends with their families, take a much-needed yoga class or enjoy that glass of wine with friends.
